The 27th STST Short Course 2026 (15-17 May), under the theme New Wave in Cardiothoracic Surgery, focused on three fronts shaping the field: innovation in coronary artery bypass (CABG) and modern valve repair and replacement, minimally invasive video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) for smaller incisions and faster recovery, and the growing role of robotic surgery and ECMO support in critical care.
